Naomi Haile

As a highly driven and creative business partner, my focus is to create experiences with words. To help people share their stories in a way that is the honest, raw, and colorful.

With 5+ years of experience in management consulting, tax compliance, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) strategy, I bring a rich perspective that leverage data and ensures people are at the center. I have experience advising executives and their teams to build sustainable solutions for their toughest human capital challenges, using design thinking strategies, rigorous corporate evaluations, empathy interviews, and thorough industry-relevant research. And in these environments, I strengthened many skills – problem-solving, attention to detail, stakeholder management, public speaking, and bringing ideas to execution. These multi-faceted experiences have made me the writer and storyteller that I am, by revealing to me the power of listening before speaking, seeing people for who they are, and creating spaces for people to own their truth.

In 2021, I picked up my life and moved to New York City to study at a renowned institution – Columbia University. I earned my M.S. in Human Capital Management and gained experience at Bloomberg L.P. working with the Head of Diversity & Inclusion for the Americas, where I defined capability gaps and used analytics to elevate the organization’s equity approaches (i.e. disability, gender equity, and LGBTQ+ supports).

Additionally, I am the producer and host of the Power of Why podcast, where I interview phenomenal global and local leaders who are building with intention. My curiosity and natural interest in people makes me a strong relationship builder and connector. The show engages over 200 active listeners and has over 30k downloads. Recently, my work and thorough interview with Netflix’s Chief Human Resources Officer was featured on Business Insider.

I love investing in my community and supporting young Black leaders use their voice and take action on their dreams. As a local community-builder, my work has landed me interviews with both CTV Network and Rogers TV to discuss the resources available to young disruptors in the City of Ottawa.

At the age of 17, I decided to study abroad in Bergen, Norway which opened the door to seeing more of the world. To date, I have traveled to over 25 cities. I enjoy boxing, exploring new dishes (Ethiopian and Peruvian are my top 2), listening to Italian music, and closely monitoring my investment watchlist for the next sale.
