Tanya Hayles

I am an award-winning creative storyteller using various mediums to evoke emotions, create change, build movements, and add color in white spaces.

I am the founder of Black Moms Connection, an online global village of 20,000 and non-profit providing culturally relevant programs and resources to educate and empower the Black mother and her family.

The work of diversifying motherhood was the reason behind launching the anti-Black racism consulting business Color In White Spaces, changing the conversation of diversity and inclusion and making it real and relatable.

I am proud to say that I was the recipient of the 2019 BMO Women award for Community & Charitable Giving, 2020 L’Oreal Woman of Worth honoree, and a 2021 Top 25 Women of Influence award winner as well. As a media darling, my work can be seen and heard on almost every Canadian media including CBC (Tv, Radio, and .com), Toronto Star, Today’s Parent, CityLine, and more.

Putting all the puzzle pieces together, using the world’s oldest form of connecting with others, tells the story of a true believer in the power of words and bringing visions to life.
